The project is located in the CBD of Gaozhou, Maoming, which is planned as a high-rise landmark building with a height of 150m. Before started, 2/3 of the tower had been completed. On behalf of the owner, Shing & Partners has redesigned the facade, flow logic, and interior space of the building. This project is an atypical urban regeneration project, facing a 'renovated' object that was not completed yet. The original plan lacks in-depth exploration of indicative and functions of the entrance. More impotantly though, it cannot meet the needs of current and future urban development any more. The team has launched an optimisation strategy to transform the completed 100m main structure from a regular commercial building to a local vertical city centre and future social venue. Once completed, it will become a local landmark.
