Liwan New World is located on the plot of Guangzhou Iron & Steel Factory Site, which combines the principles of industrial heritage preservation and utilisation, as well as the characteristics of the surrounding urban village, highlights the expression of industrial civilisation and Lingnan culture, in order to practice the overall waterfront landscape pattern planning of the greater Huadi Ecological City. The project connects the pedestrian space of the city park and isolates noise through the layout, forming an inward central courtyard. By reliefing the tension through layers of set-back platforms, the aim is to create an eco-friendly urban oasis. The towering courtyard community has achieved a multiple interconnected complex, maximising the public value of the project.
