The project is located on the ancient city wall of Xi'an, and the key lies in how the newly constructed volume speaks to the ruins of city wall. The elements extracted from the city wall are reinterpreted with modern materials. Through the refinement of materials and lighting design, the poetic creation of the place echoes the richness of ancient architecture.
